The Trails of SIUE
Welcome to my site all about the trails around the SIUE campus. The purpose of this site is to provide a map, details, comments, and even a little history of the various paths and trails to local residents and students who wish to exercise, explore, or "thrillseek." One can find a map of the major trails of Madison County at the Madison County Trails website. However, their maps do not include the nature trails around SIUE. I discovered these many trails by taking walks around campus. I enjoy exploring and mapmaking, so I decided to do just that by sketching out trails I traveled on walks. The map you see below is a culmination of several trips I walked on. I used the base road map from SIUE's website and added my trails and color codes using Adobe Photoshop. The trips below have helped me compile this map.
